HEIC to PNG Questions
Are my HEIC files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser using WebAssembly, so your HEIC files never leave your device. Nothing is stored, and the page keeps working even on a slow connection.
Will converting HEIC to PNG reduce quality?
No further quality is lost: PNG stores every pixel exactly. Any detail already discarded by HEIC compression can’t be restored, though, so the result looks the same as the original rather than better.
Will the PNG file be bigger or smaller?
Usually larger. PNG keeps every pixel, while HEIC discards detail to save space. For a smaller file, consider WebP or JPG instead.
Is the HEIC to PNG converter free?
