SVG to PNG Questions
Are my SVG files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser using WebAssembly, so your SVG files never leave your device. Nothing is stored, and the page keeps working even on a slow connection.
Will converting SVG to PNG reduce quality?
PNG is lossless, so the result is pixel-perfect at the size it’s rendered. Set the size you need with the Resize option and the shapes are drawn sharply at that resolution.
Is transparency kept?
Yes. PNG supports full transparency, so soft edges, shadows and see-through areas come through intact.
What resolution will the PNG be?
We use the width and height set in the SVG. If it only has a viewBox, the longest side is drawn at 1,024 pixels. Use Resize to choose an exact size; the vector is rendered at that size, so it stays crisp.
Will the PNG file be bigger or smaller?
SVG is code, not pixels, so the PNG is usually larger. Its size depends mainly on the resolution you choose.
Is the SVG to PNG converter free?
